I guess what I need to know is, is there a way to make the RAW file converter load the settings from the file rather then what it thinks they should be, I believe if I do as suggested it will just load the settings from the file that is open at that time as the auto settings in the future.

Open a RAW file, uncheck the Auto boxes, then to the right of
the Settings menu, select Save New Camera Raw Defaults. Then
click on Done.
