Dust should be the least of your problems, really. The area of that pinhole is orders of magnitude smaller than the slots that allow connecting the outer control rings on a conventional lens with the optical innards. Also, many lenses, esp. zooms, act as veritable suction pumps whenever you zoom or focus. In fact, this is a worse dust source than changing lenses now and then (in reasonably clean environments).
A pinhole doesn´t focus. It can be zoomed, using a bellows, but you ´d better do it slowly, or you´ll blow away the whole brass sheet, tape and all....
When I come around to it, I´d like to try it with my D200. I´m sure the results would stand up quite well against most Sigma Lenses.... ;-) (Just kiddin´, no flaming, pliiz...).
