Thanks Trevor and others for your comments on my gallery posting "Bushy Park".
 
This picture (and another one coming next week) were shot during a recent trip in England and France with a small Canon PowerShot SD450  (5M pixels). 
 
This is my entry point into D-photography and the camera is intended to act as a "sketch book" that I carry around everywhere, rather than as a formal "photo creation" tool. 
 
I had planned the trip for a personal pinhole photography project.  But, having sprained my knee just a few days before leaving, my movements were quite constrained.  So I relied on my old classic Minolta X-700 with a single manual-focus 24mm lens.  Travel light!
