I'm with Renate on this one! To quote the old cliché, "You don't ask the chef what make of oven he uses".
 
If a given camera works for you, and you get the results you want and expect, then stick with it. Don't be a sucker for the big corporations constantly trying to make their previous offerings obsolete.
