Re: CC filters or Photoshop???

The following are a few advantages that Photoshop offers over filtration)Off the top of my head):

1. You can experiment with fine increments of colour without bracketing away a whole role of film
2. You can selectively correct colour in chosen parts of the picture
3.You don't have to spend time at the "decisive moment" taking colour readings
4. You don't have to carry an extra bag full of filters and CT meter
5.You can capture the ambient colour which may not always be correct, but often lends an extra magic to the image.
6. Colour is seldom a single temperature throughout the image and filtration is indescriminate.

Although I have been using Photoshop for a very long time, I have only been shooting digital for a couple of years. Till then I shot film and scanned. It was a godsend being able to use Photoshop to do stuff in 15 minutes that previou sly took me hours in the studio.
Fixing paintwork on studio sets, covering light stands with black paper, sorting out colour when shooting white household appliances like fridges and stoves...
fiddling with flags, scrims, gobos etc. etc.
