Hi Renate,

Macro shots are close-up shots less than 1-1 micro shots are those taken with a greater than 1-1 magnifaction.
Anything shot with a microscope would be a micro shot....

Close-up shots are fun but lack DoF it is even worse with the DoF issue. But there is software that can add images togeather to add DoF so that an object can be in focus for it's entire length.
