See what happens? I offer an opinion and you do not like it. Yes, some are quite pedestrian and I know a bad image when I see it. Bad is bad, regardless of the imagination of the photographer. I also did not say that this was good or bad. You will like your images regardless of what others might say. No problem with that. I like what I like and see no need to tell the list my opinions of every image. Or are you one of those people that believes that every image has merit?
Yes indeed it is. I am not sure about my "political rants" however. Please give an example of my starting a political rant. I comment on posts I see just like you do, have done in the past and likely will in the future. Granted, brevity is not my strong point. Again, posting images is not a requirement. Unless you have been promoted to list owner, you have no say. You are free to filter my silly comments, use your delete key, or avoid me altogether. This is really getting ugly and I am sure others hate the jabs and stabs.
I will comment if I see something I like and I will avoid comments when I see something I do not like. I posted a few comments about some of the images and a few of my comments were palatable. What more do you want, a review of every image on the site? I never said I did not like every image, just most.
Yes I agree. It is about change. However, I have my opinions, likes, and dislikes and they will color my posts. I feel no need to embrace the new while I can still use the old. So I will give preferences to the old and accept the new when I am forced into that situation. Photography is still about proper exposure, good composition, proper presentation and that is what I look for, be it film or digital. Some things are not affected by technological changes. We went from Edison Cylinders to CDs, but the music still needs to be good.
