Vastly, VASTLY over priced.
I have been using a Cirkut Camera for almost ten years, now. Some of the
information on one of the suggested sites is out dated, Kodak's Cirkut color
film is Portra no longer Verichrome.
Reading the description carefully, you will see the lens is not a very good
lens. A normal lens for the #10 Cirkut is the Turner Reich tripple
convertable 10, 18, 23 on both the #8 and #10 and it is no great feat to
find them in good condition with no seperation. The camera advertized is
not with very good lens, the bent 34 gear is the most used and they are not
cheap to replace, and the electric motor is after market and not the best
choice to change from the terrific mechanicl mot or that was originally used
in this camera. In fact, the seller advertises this as a collector's camera
and with this motor makes it simply a poor working camera.
No, there are better Cirkuts available and if you want to use one as an
'earner' bear in mind, it costs about $150 per shot to make each picture.
$50 for each roll of film, $30 for each development and . . . per inch for
the print.
This is not a good buy.
