70-200 /2.8 is as heavy as 100-400 but the 70-200 /4.0 is the way to go.
 
N.B. - this thread make me think that it is a nice idea to have EOS 5D + lenses and instead of buying a multiplier one have to
buy another body like 10D or 350D so he has a X1.6 multiplier with no loss of f/stops or deterioration of the image ( but less mp ).
what do you think ?

I've read that they are very heavy and I've also been looking at the 70-200 with a doubler.
