The conversion from Celcius to Fahrenheit is simple, as a retired physicist.
Similarly, reversing the process (multiply by 9/5 and add 32, 72F

Ah, what's simple to a physicist is inscrutable to those of us who
can't imagine multiplying by 9/5ths. Even dividing by 9 for me
requires a calculator
I'm in the same boat....however, a simple and quick way to
approximate the Fahrenheit temp from the Celcius is to double the
Celcius and add 30....example, 10 degrees Celcius, double to 20, add
30=50 degress Fahrenheit...it works to within 1 to 3 degrees until
you get up to about 27 Celcius where the error starts to becomes
significant...and even I can do this one in my head with what's left
of my brain....
