Timothy A. Holmes: Global Flyer
It looks like it was taken at 10,000 feet. I can't tell that it was at an
airshow. Was this just a special test flight for the benefit of the show?
This particular airshow is anything but typical -- it is the largest
airshow gathering in the world, 16,000 airplanes, and near a million
visitors in the week that it is open --- the star attractions this week
were the Spaceship One, White Knight, and the Global flyer --
Global flyer was flown in especially for the show, made 3 low passes and
then sat on static display for 3 days. An amazing experience. When
that picture was taken, he was making a VERY low pass (about 50 feet or
less) and i had to crop severely to get all the peoples heads out of the
picture -- i was literally shooting between peoples ears (LOL)
