This past Sunday hubby and I made the 2 hour drive from home to the Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC for the opening of Lawrence's (a group member) exhibit. It was well worth the trip. Though the gallery is small and was very crowded that day, we managed to squeeze our way back to where Lawrence was. He was surrounded by people interested in his works and it took a few minutes to reach him to introduce ourselves. It was nice to put a face to the name. The exhibit is outstanding and, in my personal opinion, should have been placed in a more prominent spot. But this did not hinder anyone in praising Lawrence on his display. For anyone within a 2 hour driving radius, I suggest you visit the gallery and let Lawrence know you were there. It's well worth the trip.
