Chris, Is it possible your mum is thinking of someone else? I'm not a doc, but I've had 3 children and I know that if she had actually managed to reach your face you absolutely would not be here. I wouldn't afford much weight to what she said. I've seen your face (on your old web site), and your are not disfigured to any great degree.
