Second-hand high-quality CRT monitors are "ten a penny" at the moment.
Companies (businesses) are switching to CRTs because for them space
costs money.  CRT cubicles eat more floorspace than LCD ones :o)
Unless you are tight on space: the old technology still works ... and
it's much less thievable.

You can pick up high-quality high-resolution 21/22-inch monitors on
ebay for 1/5th the cost of a new 19-inch LCD.  While you are at it,
strike a deal with the vendor and buy 2!!!!!  If you want an LCD with
the colour quality of CRTs ... that's way above my budget. I would
like the ability to rotate the screen though I do confess.
