Since PS is not causing the problem I'm wondering if you are using the correct paper profile that you set in Canon's printer settings dialog. Also I never got decent prints from my i950 with Canon's color management enabled. I always allow PS to do the color management.

I also tried making a print just going from 
the picture and fax viewer in window XP.

Totally by passing PS 

Still green in the shadows
