Two things about D70 that prevented me from switching brands: 1. no PC sync to work in a studio and 2. lowest ISO is 200.
I am sure it IS a very good camera, just like the canon digital rebel. I ended up with Canon 10D, partly also because of the lens collection I always had and I am very pleased with it (did somebody said back focus? it is only a myth).

I would strongly recomend that you look at the Nikon D70 -- I have one, and nearly 50,000 pictures on it, and have had nothing but wonderful results. It has manual focus and all the SLR toys, not to mention an upper shutter limit of 1/8000th (which I intend to put to work at the EAA Fly-In at Whitman Field in Oshkosh Wisconson this summer) -- at those speeds I can probably stop the compressor blades in a Jet turbine
If you have any questions, or would like to see samples etc, please feel free to e-mail

But had you put the camera on manual focus assuming you are using SLR
digital cameras with manual settings as well as automatic you could have
gotten that shot with digital.
