I'm very pleased with my Pentax *istD.
Because I wear glasses (though I do have contact lenses as well), the viewfinder is important -- well the "eye relief" / "eyepoint". The *istD has a beaut viewfinder. The manual has: field of view 95%, magnification 0.95 x (50mm f/1.4 at infinity).
I occasionally have to wait for the buffer to clear, to capture the next image.
It works with pretty well all the K-mount lenses.
Oh, it still works well after a few decent thumps.
Summary: It looks like pretty well any of the current cameras will capture ok images.
