I feel I should make some offering of a gallery review since I asked for
reviews of one of my own images last week and have submitted another for
next week - so here are my thoughts.

Crab Spider
The lighting, vibrant and cheerful colours evoke pleasant feelings of
Spring/Summer and all that goes with it. Insect life (and death), warm
sunny days with bright greenery and flowers. Nice capture of the spider,
presumably working its way into the petals to lie in wait for its prey. I'd
quite liked to have seen the Spider's face and eyes but I fully appreciate
that's something beyond the photographer's control. I enjoy receiving
Nature calendars or maybe greetings cards bearing this sort of image.

Town of Warrenton
Nice sepia tones. I'd have liked to have been able to see more detail of
what's on view in the shop window, probably because I love rummaging through
'Thrift' shops and Charity shops. I find the frame rather overwhelming
and overpowering for the size of the image. I'm left feeling frustrated I
couldn't see more of the car on the left or have a full length view of the
people passing the shop.

Camel Trader in Oman
I've spent quite a while just pondering and enjoying this image. Such
character in the face, detail and colour tones in that bushy beard and
wonderful folds in his headgear. I also like the overall colour tones,
which further evoke feelings and sounds of the desert and the camels.

No Fish
Wonderful silhouettes and colours. I'm also impressed by the sharp/fine
detail which shows the rings on the rod, the line and hook as well as the
waves, spray and texture on the water.

Forest
Beautiful 'wet and waxy' sheen typical of that seen in sand ripples after
the tide has receded. Excellent texture, colour tones and detail of sand
grains too. I thought the title very appropriate as there may well be a
forest deep down beneath that 'temporarily fossilised' sand. Excellent
abstract imho.

Luxor Sunrise
I felt this image might benefit from some slight tweaking and correction of
the contrast levels - so I looked at it more closely in PS. Slightly more
contrast produced better detail and colours, to my eye. Very strong colours
too. It grew on me more and more as I studied it. The balloon carries me
'up up and away' rising with the sun, and soaring away over the mountain on
the right. My feet are sufficiently on the ground - as I'm looking up and
flying away over the treetops, with the balloon. There's also some nice
warm light on the building, especially after the contrast is increased.

A Pillar of Society
I'm not too sure the perspective works well for me on this one. Nice idea
to include the 'Pillar' and the statue of the 'Pillar of Society' though.
Perhaps it might have been better from slightly further back, to include
more of the base - not sure? Slightly more contrast and a touch of unsharp
mask may bring out more detail and texture.

Early Morning Timp
Nice colour range and tones with the blues and sepia starting in the
background and gradually getting stronger and darker towards the foregound.
There's some super detail in those trees, mountains and reflection in the
background, though it's difficult to fully appreciate all of it due to the
resized web image.

Hands
I'd have preferred the focus more sharply on the child's face and head (with
that lovely, fluffy hair) all enfolded and supported firmly by his mother's
hand.

Judy
I quite like this. She has an interesting and thoughtful face, nice hair
with texture and colour, nice form. She has her own unique and irregular
frame - fashioned individually for her and her alone, in her own little
corner of the garden.
