All photos of the military and policemen over here are illegal. So naval ships, aircraft, barracks, soldiers .... cannot legally be snapped. If you do take a photo, as I have, you may be asked to donate the film and any prints to the Queen as these belong to her, if you take a Warship during a war, like the Falklands, you could face a firing squad. This can apply at other times. I have recently become acquainted with these laws. There are quite a few military bases where taking photographs (even from "outside the wire") is illegal and can indeed get your collar felt. FOr isntance, taking photos on board HMS Victory is still a criminal offence!!!!! At least in the US freedom is a lot better defined than it is over here.
