Thanks,
I would also like to have a longer zoom, something around 70-200, 80-200? Any lens worth to mention there?

I find that my auto focus Tokina 28-70 ATX is as sharp as any of my Nikon lenses. I have regularly used it with my Nikon N90s as my primary lens for over 10 years.

Tokina and Tamron on the other hand have both had zoom

in my bag for a long time. At least one of their lenses, a 28-70 f/2.8 ATX, beat the highly touted 35-70 f/2.8 Nikkor in my opinion
