I have heard good things about this workshop. The main thing learned, according to those I know who participated, seems to be how to underexpose transparancy film, meter for the highlights. A contradictory method to Ansel Adams Zone system. It would be interesting to know how they teach with electronic cameras, now.

Subject: NGS Photography Workshops

The National Geographic Society offers several photographic workshops. Does anyone have experience with them? Are they worthwhile? Most are led by photographers who have done considerable work for the NGS. Only two in 2005 feature digital photography. Their website is

http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ngexpeditions/

but you'll have to navigate to the correct section.
