Oh I don't know if I think a high end printer is worth it for photographers. Hang on a second, I have to reload some paper into my Epson 2200. I'm back now and can respond. Oh wait, I don't have to. :o) I agree, a good printer gives so much more control over the output but lets be serious, TIM, who posted about taking the photos for the homecoming project (who started the thread in the first place) is simply trying to get thru the photographing part of this job...having to do the printing on top of it could throw him over the edge (no disrespect intended to TIM) by virtue of the fact that printing adds a whole new dimension of stress to the job when you stop to consider color profiles, output finishes, ink costs, etc. I wouldn't even think of doing a job like this and printing it at home. And I certainly have the capabilities to do so.
