Greg, Get a second opinion on your own. Don't ask your current docs for a recommendation. They may send you to one of their buddies. If the second opinion doesn't sound right to you, get a third. It is better to get the surgery now unless you have another condition that makes this surgery risky. You also have the right as the patient to insist on having it fixed now. Most people don't understand that docs work FOR the person who is paying them. You are the employer. They are working for you. If they get their back up over it then you don't want them working for you anyway. Arrogance makes for mistakes! Let us know how this works for you.
