Burn your CDs in sessions as ISO 9660 CDs instead of whatever you're 
doing.  Also try using the Roxio software if you're not.  In 
Mac-speak it's called Toast but I know it has an equally cute name in 
PC-speak.

My four year old G3 with G4 upgrade card has no problem with full CDs 
in either Mac format or ISO 9660 format, whether I have software 
running or not.  I have only one 80G drive.

My old pre-G Mac also had no problem burning full CDs with only a 4G drive.
