I don't want to put holes in the gallery walls to mount these cards, so  I'm trying to think of a way to mount the cards in  a grouping and on something that will stand alone - something like a "wall of quotations".   I'd like it to look classy, yet be simple to build and take down.  Whatever I do I'll most likely have to do it on my own.

Don't know how many cards you have so depending.....
you could use a large sturdy easel with a nice mounting board of some type on it or

maybe two easels apart and supporting a larger piece between them or

(I've used this before) two 4x8 plywood pieces hinged together that are covered in fabric or
carpet. It can then be opened for a self standing display. When finished it can be folded and
moved for storage until needed again.
