This is funny: It was while reading your article above that I came up with the question ;o)

I know that rules are made to be broken and all that, but it gets repeated so often that I lept the the absurd: a cylindrical panorama (pasted into a continuous cylinder) where there really is no middle or edge.  Imagine this as a mural on the wall of a circular tower.  What advice (/ rule / law etc) should there be for composition - to aid those who don't know where to start?

Where should the key elements be?  Can they be on opposite walls?
Is it better then to have a story unfold as you turn to look at the whole thing?
