Personally I don't care how many people detest an image I show in the gallery as long as I like it. More importantly, as long as someone likes it. The key thing is feedback: or at least a reaction. Does an image have impact? Is it memorable? Why? I can learn from that. When it comes to reviewing the gallery though. Now there's a different thing altogether. That isn't something I do as a means of "creating" That's not part of my "absolute commitment to his/her art" Negative feedback there - including ridicule, hostility etc ... why do I need it? Why should I seek it? Unless you have a real need to go there, sometimes it's just better to avoid areas where you're likely to get mugged. Bob
