Thanks, Sam. The guide number comes from the flash manufacturer and
my personal studio was full of Christmas Tree so I agreed to go to
the artist's studio to shoot the sculptural pieces. I found out
today that the nice person who would loan me a flash meter had had
problems all weekend trying to get my phone number to answer. So I
had to use theory rather than practice.
And in actuality the calculations I started with jibed with the
method from Andy. Tomorrow we see what the film made of the white
polar fleece background and the sad fact that I neglected to move
the flashes up when we hung the hanging pieces higher than the
standing ones had been.
There were a lot of variables in this shoot...
