Hi Sidney,
Those Agfa T1200s are nice, aren't they? I used one for a long time
before replacing with an Epson 2450. My Agfa was scsii connected and
the newer Mac I bought had no slot for it. Rather than add a scsii card
at the time, I got the Epson. Now the Agfa, complete with the neg
holder set, sits in the basement. It seems a shame. It still is a good
scanner. Maybe, I should see if a local school can use it.

Don & Sidney,
There is no need to throw out that SCSI scanner. Even that local school might have newer Macs, without SCSI. But, Belkin (and maybe others) makes a SCSI to USB adapter. This story, <http://www.mozillaquest.com/Hardware/Belkin/Belkin-SCSI-USB_story01.html>, will provide more information about it. It's something I have been considering because I also have a SCSI scanner that I want to use with my USB-based TiBook. Microtech makes a SCSI to Firewire adapter, which would be faster than USB. Information is here, <http://www.psism.com/firescsi_xpress.htm>.
