I did not found any crash running old programs, the real problem for us was speed. That old programs are very slow in the new ambience. On the other hand, I did not see any reason not to change to Photoshop 8, is fantastic and the color management is much more professional. PS 4 is very poor managing color. Our problem with all the SCSI devices that we have, it was resolved in an expensive way, we kept both computers, In your case I don't give you this advice because of your grandson. Carlos Ysunza B.
