Required Qualifications: PhD in History of Photography, Art History, or a related field by the date of hire; active interest in and record of research and scholarly achievement in photographic history, theory, and criticism; demonstrated ability to teach photo studies courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. If PhD is not complete by date of hire, a one-year appointment at the rank of Instructor would be offered. Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in the history and critical analysis of photography and related arts. Teach undergraduate courses in photographic history, theory and criticism. Serve on and direct doctoral dissertation and MFA thesis committees. Carry on an active research agenda.
