I recently bought a Foba Superball virtually new and two plates for $300 from a friend. The SB28DX will not work in TTL mode on the new generation Nikon DSLRs coming out. You need the new SB800 with iTTL. The SB28DX will work in auto mode though, or as a slave to the new SB800. It does provide TTL for the older D100, D1x or the now obsolete D1 and soon to be obsolete D1H.
