I had more room in front on the original, but with small gallery sizes I'd either have had to shrink everything down or chop off the splash behind the bird. Which do you think I should have done? Oh, and what's wrong with running out of a frame? Seriously, I can't see this shot with empty water in front of the bird and no splash behind it, just to make it run into a frame, so what's everyone saying is wrong with running out of it? Thanks to all reviewers who commented. This shot was in a very dark area, black bird in dark area equals high ISO, grain, and not enough shutter speed. It's not the greatest photo but I did catch the bird running on water I thought rather well. I can only hope in the future to catch one in sunlight with a nice background. Oh, once again I'd like to ask if gallery images could be increased in size a bit. After all, monitors are getting bigger and webspace and bandwidth growing. Would it be too much to send 100K files instead of 50K ones? Shots like this would really be improved. Heck, all shots would be improved. Just asking...
