Exactly. We put up photos to get feedback of what others on the list
think of them. There's nothing else at stake here. Many times I myself
feel reviewers just don't get my photo. They make suggestions that
frankly I don't care for. I have made choices in my art. I have
placed, cropped, and presented an image the way I felt like. I take
all reviews, think about it, and go on with my life. Sometimes I learn
something from it. Sometimes I simply say too, you can't please
everyone all the time...

I complained once that many reviews were simply too sugar coated. It's
very well and good to find some redeeming feature in every image.
Sometimes that is very hard indeed to do. But when I do a review I am
giving my opinions as the image strikes me. Perhaps I make a
suggestions why it doesn't work or why it does, or what might have
made it better.

I like the reviews I get here. Rarely does anyone love an image I
submit, rarely does anyone sugar coat their feeling about the images.
Frankly, the images I pick to send to the gallery are not my best
images, but some of those that I'm in doubt about, or I think would be
interesting to others. It doesn't mean I think they are fantastic art
because I submitted them.

I sure hope we haven't squashed any genius here :-)
