She wanted only full body shots but I needed to take another crack at close-ups. Since she wasn't paying me to take the photos, I took about 1/3 of the shots the way I wanted. >Seriously: an absolutely brilliant portrait to my >un-portrait-trained-eye. What were you doing a couple or so weeks >ago? Showing us mediocre badly-lit, badly-posed portraits and asking >for advise? Well, if this is yours you learned FAST. This shot is from the re-shoot of my first botched portrait session a couple of weeks ago. The lighting was better but I didn't manage to get any poses she liked. She was looking for glamour shots but this shot really captures who she is right now. >What do I like? The eyes have it: crystal clear both of them. >Bella-donna or was the model in subdued light (to give the large >pupils). It was regular living room lighting. She just has phenomenal eyes. When I first looked through the viewfinder I couldn't help saying 'oh wow' out loud. >The mouth? What, no teeth. Real or did you PS them out. It does not >matter because the mouth, slightly open conveys emotion. Which >emotion >I'm not sure. Surprise? Question? Uncertainty? Don't know. I did no cloning on this one.
