Convenient but overkill for b&w. We got one at the paper just before
I was fired, so I never got to use it. To me, the point of it was to
speed up the workflow and to save us money on color processing when
we needed to do it. That was why I recommended we get it.
Sprint chemistry and hand loading steel canisters got to be pretty
fast after my initial mishaps and the film was very tolerant of
excess as well as too little agitation. Just shake it four or five
times and get on with it!
Nothing like working at a paper to help you learn just how uncritical
all that anal retentive stuff is!
