That film must have been improperly stored, and this could happen with
any film, plus you bought it at different places, some might have been
old etc. As you know, the normal grain of Astia is pretty decent.

I'm surprised it was discontinued too, since it's always been
available in Japan. Different name, but always here and very popular.
It's what a Pro used for skin tones in slide films.
