While deleting that, I suffered one of those dreadful on-topic flashbacks & remembered an article, maybe last year in Poop Photo (Popular Photography), that detailed how to make pinhole disposable cameras. They were used to shoot miniature sets for HO scale trains.
You may also want to look up the early commercial work of Clyde Butcher, who fabricated his own pinhole cameras to make realistic images of architectural maquettes.
