Cowgirl:  I can see why you were drawn to this cherub-like little face.   The rider is as cute in her concentration on her riding as she can be.   The color on her face is a little off, and I'd love to see a sparkle (catch light) in her eyes, but I understand the conditions under which you were working (tight cropping of a larger image).  This image is well worth passing along so the rest of us could see it.

Painting the new bridge at Swansea Marina:   Swansea Marina would not have to grease the cables to keep me from climbing on them - you can believe that{:->   I'd like to see a little more of the scene to give this some perspective.   The painter could be 1 foot off the ground or 500 feet off the ground.  It's hard to tell.  I do like the streaks in the sky that echo the "streaks" of the cables.

the Elusive Kingfisher:  A perfect shot of a beautiful little bird.  I like the color and texture of the pole (stump?) the little guy is sitting on, and the black background shows off the bird's colors perfectly.  A very nice shot.

Sunshine Skyway:  This image is a little hard to see, Shyrell, but your story of the drunken captains crashing into the bridge too many times makes up for that.   (I hope no one was hurt in the crashes.)

Cleopatra's Ride at the peak:  It's fun seeing others having fun, Emily.  I like the expressions on the rider's faces and all the colors in this photo.

The eye:  An unusual and interesting shot, Srdan.  Could you tell us more about it, please.   Did you use a filter to get the red color?  Photoshop?   What caused the light and reflection at the bottom of the eye?

Jewels of Lost Lake:   The while the photo was enlarging on my screen, I thought the "jewels" were the bright spots (water drops reflecting light?).  Those "jewels" added to the curved grass blades gave the photo an intriguing, fairy-like quality.   Then I saw the dead fish  and all the little fairies scattered.   (I'm a vegetarian.)   I'm sure Sports Illustrated or any hunting/fishing magazine would think this is a cover shot, and it would be.  It's very well done.

Thank you to all who took the time to share their work and to Andy and staff for "hanging the gallery."   Viewing the gallery was a bright spot in a somewhat uneventful week.

I did attend an reception at a local gallery yesterday.  One of the exhibitors was a photographer who had just returned from Alaska.  Her polar bear shots are astounding.
