I've been shooting with the D10 for about a month now...an upgrade from the Olympus E10...for both portrait and wedding work. You're in for a treat. It's a beautiful camera with LOADS of great features...not the least of which is their amazing flash technology. If you buy a flash for this camera, spend the money and get the 550ex or the 420ex. Both are incredible. I purchased a 28-135 IS lens to be my primary lens on this camera. It's a great lens, sharp, contrasty and with a good focal range....however, there is a conversion factor of 1.6 so be aware of that. Canon has released a lens in the 17-40mm area that should help combat this and open up the wider end for digital shooters. I only shoot Canon lenses so can't speak to any other brands.
