Does anyone know of a software/plug-in to embed your name and copyright into a digital graphic file so it cannot be seen but will be able to be read electronicly when required.

There is not much available in the graphics channel that isn't pretty easy to defeat. You might find something in the crypto or privacy area, though. There are stego programs that might work out.
I used a program called jpeg hide and seek or something like that. It could hide a small file in a .jpg but the image had to have quite a bit of detail. That was several years ago so there may be more sophisticated stuff available now.
Search on stego software and you will probably get a ton of hits.
