I am the scanner operator and image retoucher at a large printing company. In the past I have used the Adobe Gamma control panel to calibrate my monitor(Mac). Now I use the Macintosh Control Panel Monitors, click on the color icon, click calibrate, check the expert mode and follow the steps. This seems to work well. At home I have an Epson 1280 printer which I calibrate to my monitor after calibrating my monitor. Can't really afford the spyder and software. I know we want the best possible output but is it possible to calibrate everything by eye or are you just wasting your time and fooling yourself? > > Greg > >
