Hi Charles, Your best bet is to replace the flash. The problem is the capacitors inside the flash are probably faulty or it could also be a circuit board that is overheating. FYI THIS COULD DO DAMAGE TO THE T90!!! And also could shock the living daylights out of you if you touch the wrong spot. The flash is toast. Getting a new 300 should be EZ. And don't bother w/ repairs, they are usually temporary and cost more thatn the flash is worth. Take care, Les ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Dias" <charlesbronsondias@hotmail.com> To: "List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students" <photoforum@listserver.isc.rit.edu> Sent: Saturday, February 22, 2003 7:21 PM Subject: Problems with flash > Hi folks, > > I have a Canon 300TL flash I use in my Canon T90 and since some weeks ago > Iīm experimenting an intriging problem with it. > Well, when I load it with brand new alcaline batteries (paying close > attention to the batteries poles), the flash works for around 10 minutes and > then it gets the batteries overheated and drains it too ... in 10 minutes I > have no more batteries and a very hot flash. > I tried loading it with flesh batteries two times and the same problem > happend.
