I have now been able to access the site.  Yes.  I made something like this
from a Photax photoflood and a flash gun is a similar manner and for the
same reason.  However more recently Jessops brought out a consumer level
studio flash and modelling light at a reasonable price so I bought one of
those.

I need to buy a reflective sheet to make softer lighting for some types of
shoot. As street photographer who tries to sell I don't use artificial light
much.
