Don, I think your black and white prices are in line with what I would expect to pay for the services you offer. I would not consider using a lab that didn't have some samples of their work to show...I'd suggest you ut up a small gallery of work you've done, prints you've made and even prints you've salvaged (kind of a me vs. another lab sort of thing).
