Emily,

We are in rain and low 40s, or clouds, a lot of moisture and temps the same.
It's a gray, depressing place here in the winter. But, there are no harsh
shadows to speak of._grin You could keep an 81a warming filter on for months
around here.

The blind can be changed to a room and a window that can be removed, so at
least I could sit inside.

I would not feel comfortable tracking down a small animal and then feeding
it to a bigger animal. I would probably lose sleep over that frankly.

The eagle seems to have a habit of sitting at one end of a very long marsh
fed by the tide coming in from the sound. He is there in the late mornings
and early evenings, I assume watching for fish or even small crabs that are
exposed as the tide moves out. He sits for an hour or so, then leaves by
flying down the length of the marsh toward the ocean and past the building
or blind where I would be hiding.

There is a nest up in the hills on some private property and I may be able
to get permission to shot that as well.

Take care,
Gregory david Stempel
