January sales -ot

Dear All,
I went round your sale. It is very Glitzy. Everything bright and shiny.
Full of western promise. The thing I went for (an all seasons duvet) was
absent. It had been taken out of the sale although there were plenty on
sale the week before.

Makes me think that everything is sale goods substandard made or
reconditioned for the sale.

A Western con in fact. Like quite a lot of western things. Not all. I
like my radio but not many of the programs and Mum does not like the ones I
do and visa versa.

I like my DVD but only one or two of the hundreds of videos. I can't use my
vcr as it is too difficult to understand and the videos are the same as the
DVD's

The only thing I really like is my own digital TV and my pc. I like my pc
because I can program on it and hope to transform the world with my physics
calculations (some hope!). I like the TV because occasionally they have a
broadcast that I enjoy. Not very often and I don't understand the radio
times so I find it difficult to select a suitable broadcast.

I can listen to the radio on the internet and if I pay a subscription I can
listen to lots of American stations. Unfortunately they all sound the
same....

Full of Western Promise - unfulfilled in many cases.

The pressure cooker takes 10 minutes not 4, the grill makes a funny tasting
hard steak and the sandwich toaster is only really effective for cheese
fillings which muck up the surface which then has to be scraped clean with a
plastic spatula (not supplied). The grill does have a plastic scraper but
neither the grill nor the toaster may be cleaned in the dishwasher. I would
have thought that a detachable cook tray would have facilitated cleaning in
the dishwasher.

My cooker is failing after about 15 years and the new ones are difficult to
find. Most are much too big both for our needs and for the kitchen.

I wanted an LCD digital radio controlled watch for about ten pounds but all
I can find is one that is 85 pounds. And does not have a calculator, day or
year on its display and has unnecessary gold decorations which only make it
expensive.

Have I said enough.

Is it like that every where - even in America.... Do the sales people have
any idea what they are selling or give a damm- as long as it sells and they
get their wages/commission?

comments anyone.

Chris.
