Any artist despite the medium (and if he or she is in a vehicle) can be considered a deus ex machina; that is, you can descend from the heavens to set everything right according to you and you alone.
I learned a long time ago that every artist is a god in his or her own right involved in re-creating the world as he or she sees fit. You can make over this world any way you want--it's your call! All you have to do is give yourself permission to let all the stuff inside you hang out.
