Lovely shot with a lovely background. The only flaw in the otherwise
perfect background is the diagonal stem bottom left.
The flower stalk is fairly well placed, coming in nicely from top left
but I whis there was a tad more space to the right of it
The buttefly, heck, looks like a Red Admiral, is taken from an unusual
angle which has placed the length of the antenna in focus.
You missed the highlight in the eyes .... ;o)
Thanks for the review. We had just seeded the yard, so I was somewhat limited to shoot this from my deck. The butterfly bush was hanging over a corner of the house, so I couldn't move around much. And well, there was little I could do to instruct the butterfly as to how to pose. .
:-)

One of the draw backs to the D100 is that I can only get about 25 shots on a 256M card in Raw mode. So I wasn't patient and I didn't wait on the little bugger to move around to a better position.

I have over the years grown an appreciation for bug photography because its hard to get them in the right place at the right time for long enough to get a good photo.

Again, thanks for the comments!! I do appreciate them.

Thanks,
Rob
