from the wonderful people at FUJI: http://www.fujicolor.com.au/en/Content/Home.asp "Create your own FREE Photo Album Website at www.fujicolor.com.au/"yourname " yay! Doesn't this sound grand? Doesn't fuji sound like a fun, caring and sharing member of the photographic community? <sarcasm> But wait, there's more! ..From their terms and conditions (in the little scroll box that no one scrolls through) I quote: "To enable your images or photographs to be uploaded and made available on the Service you grant to us and to any store which uses the Service and which you have requested upload your images or photographs to the Service, a non-exclusive transferable worldwide royalty-free copyright licence to reproduce, adapt or alter your images or photographs. You acknowledge that we have no control over the use of your images or photographs and shall not be held liable for any use, publication or copying of your images and photographs. You waive all rights of action or other claims you may have against us in respect of any such use, publication or copying." My cynicism is reinforced yet again. OK, maybe it's just me, and everyone else is happy with big companies making $ from people without paying a cent.. maybe it's just me who gets pissed off seeing people fleeced when entering photocomps in which EVERY image submitted becomes the property of Canon or Fuji whether they win or not, but it REALLY pisses me off to see people surrendering their copyright without a clue as to what they are doing.. many newcomers to the profession seem pleased to see their image in print somewhere and it's hard for them to believe that some of those images can and are being used to make millions for a major company without the author seeing so much as a brass razoo for their efforts <snort> You'd think an imaging company would be sensitive to these issues. BE WARNED (or ignore me and discount my insane rantings ;-) ... I'll go away now.. karl
